I was a veritable ad-banner machine while at EarthLink. I worked with some talented animators and illustrators, and we were encouraged to have fun with banners...so long as we didn't stray too far from orange and black, EarthLink's signature colors.
StarTrek.net was Star Trek-themed internet access, a joint venture between EarthLink and Paramount. I was the senior (and only) writer on the project, working with a design team composed of members from both EarthLink and Paramount. Below are a few ads we developed to run in Star Trek fan magazines. Yes, there really are such things as fan magazines devoted entirely to Star Trek stuff...it was news to me, too.
SureFire ran many ads in tactical, lifestyle, and outdoor magazines. Here are two I worked on, both of which ran in tactical publications.
